DU Beat is an independent student newspaper created by the students of Delhi University, India. Founded in 2007, The newspaper is published to the over 40,000 students from the 20 colleges of Delhi University through its online and print edition.
The colleges covered by the newspaper include Lady Shri Ram College for Women, St. Stephen's College, Delhi, Sri Venkateswara College, Kirori Mal College, Shri Ram College of Commerce, Hindu College, University of Delhi, Indraprastha College, College of Vocational Studies, and Miranda House.
In 2008 the newspaper include an online petition to reintroduce the BA English (Hons) entrance exam.[1]
DU Beat started off in October 2007 as an independent student newspaper. It reports news and views regarding Delhi University, in a print and online edition. The print edition gets published weekly and is distributed amongst 15 colleges of the university, and its online edition is available through Facebook and Twitter.
The team consists of over 50 students from several colleges of Delhi University, and is entirely run by students.
