Dafydd Lockyer

Dafydd Lockyer (born 5 June 1985 in Cwmbach, Wales) is a semi-professional rugby union player for Pontypridd RFC in the Principality Premiership and also works as an electrician.[1]

He joined Pontypridd from his local Abercwmboi RFC club, playing with the Pontypridd Academy in 2001 and then with the senior squad in 2003.[2]

Initially playing on the wing, Lockyer moved to the inside centre position, contributing to the club's Welsh Cup victories of 2006, 2011, 2013 and 2014

He transferred to Neath RFC in 2007, participated in that club's double-championship-winning team, though his appearances were limited by injuries.

He returned to Pontypridd in 2009[2] and was named Premiership Player of the Year in 2011 and 2013. In 2014 he was made captain of Pontypridd RFC,[3] and was named 2015 Player of the Year by the Pontypridd Supporters' Club.[4]
