Dakkili is a village in Dakkili mandal, located in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh, India.
Dakkili is a Mandal headquarters for dakkili mandal. It contains 27 panchayths, 10 Mandal Parishat territorial constituencies and one Zilla Parishat Territorial constituency.
It is an arid place, entirely dependent on rainfall, which is stored in rural reservoirs named cheruvu. These reservoirs were built and maintained in Venkatagiri raja's and the great king Sri Krishna Devaraya period.
More than 20 km Telugu ganga canal passes through this mandal, which is another source of potable water in a few villages which is covering almost 30 to 35% of the mandal villages.
This mandal resides under venkatagiri constituency for Assembly Elections. A person from this mandal was elected as MLA from 2008 to 2013 and again he only won this context in 2014 elections.
The Devudu velampalli Village is famous in this mandal for the Lord Shiva temple situated here, which is also in the state tourism plan to attract more people as pilgrim place. In recent 2014 elections, Ramachandra Naidu was elected from this village as an ZPTC member.
