Dan Amboyer (born December 28, 1985) is an American actor, best known for his starring role as Prince William of Wales in the 2011 Hallmark Channel original film William & Catherine: A Royal Romance, which also featured Victor Garber, Jean Smart, and Jane Alexander.
Life and career
Amboyer was born in Detroit, to Claudia and Dr. Donald Amboyer.[1] He attended The Roeper School[2] and arts high school Interlochen Arts Academy.[3] Amboyer subsequently continued his studies at the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama,[4] where he was offered early admittance following his junior year of high school.[1] After graduation, he relocated to New York City and began performing in television and theatre.[5]
Amboyer has made guest appearances on the television series Younger (TV series), CBS' Untitled John Cusack Pilot, Unforgettable, Law & Order, Body of Proof, Inside Amy Schumer, and Person of Interest. He has been interviewed by entertainment news outlets Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, and E! News.[6] He has worked extensively in Off-Broadway and regional theatre.[7] Amboyer is a founding member of the theatre company Exit, Pursued by a Bear.[8]
