Dan Crawford (born November 23, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois) is a professional basketball referee in the National Basketball Association (NBA) since the 1984–85 NBA season. As of the end of the 2014-15 NBA season, Crawford has officiated in 1,786 regular season games and more than 300 playoff games, most recently Game 3 of the 2015 NBA Finals. He wears the uniform number 43.

Crawford has been part of the officiating crew for many of the league's most important games, including Games 3 and 7 of the 2013 NBA Finals and Game 2 of the 2014 NBA Finals. He also refereed the 1994 NBA All-Star Game, the 2001 NBA All-Star Game and the 2016 NBA All-Star Game.

A 1976 graduate of Northeastern Illinois University, Crawford's officiating experience includes 12 years of high school basketball, eight years of collegiate officiating experience in the Missouri Valley Conference and Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference, and four years in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA). He now lives in Naperville, Illinois, where his son Drew Crawford played basketball at Naperville Central High School. Drew went on to play on the 2013-2014 Northwestern Wildcats men's basketball team. [1]
