Dan Fogel is an American jazz organist playing the Hammond B-3 organ.

Biography

Jazz organist Dan Fogel was born June 21, 1948, in Atlantic City, NJ.[1] Fogel purchased his first organ by age 11. At age 13 he joined jazz drummer Harvey Mason to form the “house” band at the Wonder Gardens.[2]

Fogel continues to use the Atlantic City area as a home base. Over the years Fogel has worked with Pat Martino, Odean Pope, Billy James, Eddie McFadden, Sunny Murray, Cecil Payne, Tony Ventura, Rufus Harley, Monette Sudler, Harvey Mason,[O'donal Levy],[Bootsie Barnes] and others. Downbeat Magazine Critics Polls 61st. Edition 2013', voted Fogel as a Rising Star on the Hammond B-3 by 20 critics. 15 WEST' a CD featuring guitarist O'Donel Levy was voted #1 at Temple University's "HOT 11 COUNTDOWN", W.R.T.I. Jazz Radio Station 90.1FM.
