Dan Zumbach (born 1960) is the Iowa State Senator from the 48th District. A Republican, he has served in the Iowa Senate since 2013. Zumbach currently serves as Assistant Minority Leader, a position he has held since 2015.
Zumbach currently serves on several committees in the Iowa Senate – the Agriculture committee (Ranking Member); the Appropriations committee; the Commerce committee; and the Natural Resources and Environment committee. He also serves as the ranking member of the Administration and Regulation Appropriations Subcommittee.
Zumbach was elected in 2012 with 16,415 votes, defeating Democratic opponent Nate Willems.[1]
