Dandupalya 2 is an upcoming 2016 multilingual Indian film making simultaneously in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil languages, written and directed by Srinivasa Raju. A sequel to the 2012 film Dandupalya, starring Pooja Gandhi and Raghu Mukherjee in the leading roles. The plot is based on the real-life exploits of a notorious gang named Dandupalya. and expected to be released in theatres during the festival of Diwali, and produced by Girish and Prashanth under the Apple Blossom Creations banner. Arjun Janya as the music director and the cinematography will be performed by Venkat Prasad.[1][2][3]

Production
Development
In June 2012, in the midst of the massively successful run of Dandupalya in theatres, having collected over ₹25 crore in 50 days, the makers conceived a second part for the film, which they had previously planned while shooting for the film was on course. The sequel however, did not take off for three years until reports came out in early-July 2014, when it was announced. The film began shooting in around Bangalore, Andhra Pradesh from 24 March 2016,[5] with scenes involving Pooja Gandhi and Raghu Mukherjee. The new schedule saw a series of new cast members join the franchise, with actors Prakash Raj, P. Ravi Shankar and Shruti selected to portray journalist.[4]
