Dane Baptiste
[1]Dane Baptiste is a stand-up comedian from Hither Green,[2] South East London.[3] He was nominated for the 2014 "Best Newcomer" Edinburgh Comedy Award,[4] becoming the first black Briton to be nominated. He was also nominated for a Chortle award in 2015.[2] He has also made appearances on Sweat the Small Stuff,[5] Virtually Famous,[6] Celebrity Squares,[7] Safeword[8] and Live at the Apollo.[9]
In 2016 BBC Three commissioned Sunny D a comedy show Dane wrote and starred in, playing Dane who still lives with his parents and twin sister Kadean in a crammed house, which he is desperate to escape.[10]
