Daniel E. Friedmann is an engineering physicist, CEO of MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates[1][2] and author, who focuses on studying the origin of the universe and life on earth from scientific and biblical perspectives.

Career

Friedmann is CEO[3][4] of MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates, "Canada's largest space equipment company".[5] He is a professional engineer[6] and holds a master's in engineering physics.[7][8] He has worked for 30 years in the space industry. Friedmann has published papers on space industry topics and cosmology.[9][10][11]

His work on reconciling the biblical account with scientific observation using his biblical clock formula has been reported in the 2012 Ideacity conference,[12] National Post,[13] Toronto Star,[14] Shabbat Shalom Weekly and MORF magazines,[15][16] the David Berner show[17] and Off Planet Radio and Jewish Pride Radio talk shows.[18][19]

He published The Genesis One Code in 2011[20] to compare Genesis creation narrative with science. The Genesis One Code won the Readers' Favorite 2013 International Book Award,[21] was a Finalist in the 2013 National Indie Excellence Awards,[22] and has been translated into Spanish.[23] In 2013, he published The Broken Gift: Harmonizing the Biblical and scientific accounts of human origins,[24] to compare the appearance of humans in the book of Genesis with the fossil record and genetic studies.

Friedmann was selected for 2015/2016 Brendan Wood TopGun CEO in Canada for Technology, Media and Telecommunications.[25] TopGun CEO designation is an expression of the highest level of confidence in a CEO by major institutional investors who own or have the ability to own the stock in sizable stakes. On April 14, 2016, it was announced that Howard L. Lance would succeed Friedmann as CEO of MDA.
