Forest Green (loan)

After that he was loaned to another Conference Premier side, Forest Green Rovers.[4] He made his Forest Green debut on 17 October 2009 in an away defeat against Histon.[5] His first goal for the club was the third in a 3–1 win over Salisbury City on Boxing Day 2009.[6]

Powell became a regular with Forest Green and the club decided to extend his loan deal until the end of the season in January 2010.[7]

Darlington (loan)

Having not made an appearance for the Dons at the beginning of the 2010–11 season, Powell joined Darlington on a one-month loan on 1 October 2010,[8] and made his full home debut in his new teams game the next day against Wrexham.[9]

Return to Milton Keynes Dons

Powell returned to MK Dons in November 2010 and began to break into the first team, his position was cemented after the sale of Aaron Wilbraham[10] and Jermaine Easter left the club with just two senior strikers. Powell went on to score 10 goals in 25 league appearances in the 2010/2011 season for the dons.

On 5 March 2013, Powell signed a two-year extension to his current MK Dons deal, keeping him at the club until June 2015.[11]

Powell netted 10 times in 2014/15.[12] On 18 July 2015, Powell signed another two-year extension tying him to the club through June 2017.[13]

Style of play

Powell has been described as being a forward thinking player who often runs at full-backs and is a strong asset down the flanks. His unpredictable nature is often an asset and at times a flaw in his character but remains an important player when on the field.[12]
