Daniel Paul "Danny" Mills (born 2 June 1991) is an English footballer who plays for Whitehawk as a striker.

Career

Early career

Born in Croydon, London, Mills started his career with the Croydon FC youth system in 2007, before signing for Conference National club Crawley Town in 2008.[2]

Peterborough United

Mills made his Peterborough United debut in a Championship fixture against Barnsley, the game finished in a 2–2 draw.

Torquay United

Danny made his debut for Torquay United on 26 September 2009, in the Football League Two fixture against Macclesfield Town at Moss Rose, the game ended in a 2–1 win to Macclesfield Town.

Histon

Mills joined Conference National side Histon on 30 July 2010, in a season long loan deal. He was joined at the club on the same day by fellow Peterborough United player Ramone McCrae.[3]

Danny made his debut for Histon in a Conference fixture at home to Altrincham on 9 October 2010. Although Mills had been named as a substitute for the game, he was bought on for Antonio Murray on the 90th minute of the match, and despite his late introduction, Mills scored with almost his first touch, firing home a loose ball in the area to complete a 3–0 win for Histon.[4] Following the result Mills spoke of his delight at scoring his first goal for Histon.[5]

Despite Mills and McCrae been loaned to Histon for the season, Peterborough decided to recall the duo on 3 January 2011.[6]

Kettering Town

On 15 February 2011, Kettering Town manager Marcus Law moved to sign Mills, and team mate McCrae, with the pair joining the club until the end of the season.[7]

Tamworth

Following a successful trial period, Mills was reunited with his former Kettering Town manager Marcus Law at Tamworth, in a loan deal that will keep him at the club until 31 December 2011.[8]

Carshalton Athletic

Mills joined Carshalton Athletic at the start of the 2012–13 Ryman Premier League season. He scored four goals in a reserve match and was quickly moved up into the first team squad. Used primarily as a striker, and occasionally on the right of a front three, he played 10 games and scored three goals – two in a FA Trophy qualifier against Heybridge Swifts and one against Kingstonian in a 2–1 league defeat. Due to the mass clear-out of players at Colston Avenue in the autumn of 2012, a successful bid by Ryman Premier rivals Whitehawk saw Mills leave Colston Avenue.
