Dark Matter is an indie metroidvania/survival horror video game developed by Interwave Studios and published by Iceberg Interactive for the Windows, Linux and iOS in 2013.

Reception

Dark Matter received negative reviews from critics,[1] such as a review score of 4/10 ("Poor") from GameSpot.[2] The reviewers and players alike especially criticized the game's abrupt ending, leading to the refunds by GOG[3] and the game being pulled from Steam for this reason,[4] albeit it was reinstated later.[5] Dark Matter publisher apologised for how "the end of the game may cause confusion and is not satisfactory" and blamed a failed Kickstarter campaign for this, promising to fix the issue by bringing a more conclusive ending.[6] The game's independent developer Interwave Studios ceased to exist.
