Darren Bewick (born 21 August 1967) is a former Australian rules footballer who won two premierships with Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Bewick was known for his game breaking pace and goal sense in the forward 50. His ability to take high flying marks was a spectacle amongst Bomber fans, not to mention his forward pressure with his ferocious tackling. Bewick played in two premierships with Essendon.
After debuting in 1988, Bewick played in all three of Essendon's finals in 1989. In 1990, Bewick played in Essendon's losing Grand Final team against Collingwood.
In Round 11 of the 1995 AFL season against Geelong, Bewick ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in the second quarter. Coincidentally, his comeback match (and 150th game) was against Geelong in the centenary re-enactment in Round 7, 1996. Bewick was best on ground kicking 9 goals from 11 kicks, including a spectacular finish for his 8th goal.
Bewick retired after the 2000 AFL Grand Final, in which Essendon defeated Melbourne by 60 points.
