Prince Dasho Jigme Dorji Wangchuck (born 14 April 1986) is the 3rd eldest Prince of Bhutan. His brother Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck became the king following the abdication of his father on 14 December 2006.

Prince Jigme Dorji is the fourth son of King Jigme Singye Wangchuck from Queen Ashi Tshering Yangdon. He has an older brother, His Majesty the 5th King and an older sister, Princess Dechen Yangzom Wangchuck (b. 1981), as well as three half-brothers and four half-sisters.

Education

On February 2009, he is said to be studying in Menlo College.[1]

Royal Duties

His Royal Highness Prince Jigme Dorji Wangchuck was appointed the Gyaltshab (King's Representative) for the six eastern districts of Bhutan. As Gyaltshab, he heads of office of the Gyaltshab based in Gyalpozhing, Mongar, and administer's His Majesty's kidu to the people.

Marriage

Prince Jigme Dorji wed Yeatso Lhamo on 17 October 2013 at the Domkhar dzong in Chumig, Bumthang, the maternal home of the bride. Yeatso Lhamo is the daughter of Dhondup Gyaltshen and Sonam Chuki, and she is also the elder sister of Her Majesty Queen Jetsun Pema, the Gyaltsuen. [2]
