DAV University is a Research university in Jalandhar, Punjab, Founded in 2013 under the aegis of DAV Trust. DAV University is the home to faculties of agriculture, sciences, engineering, commerce, management, languages, physical education and media & mass communication. DAV University at Jalandhar traces its roots to the legacy of Dayanand Anglo-Vedic Schools System that has been reforming and redefining India's educational scenario for 128 years. The University is the culmination of the movement that started with the foundation of the first DAV institute to propagate the ideals of the religious and social reformer Swami Dayanand Saraswati in Lahore on June 1, 1886. Presently, the DAV movement has grown to become the single largest non-governmental educational society in the country managing 800+ institutions in India. It employs 50,000+ people and educates more than 20 lakh students every year.

Campus

The roughly 80-acre campus is on the outskirts of Jalandhar in the Punjab province. It includes capacity for its own water supply, on-campus canteens and parking in the basement. The campus also includes a number of playing fields. The Institutional amenities on the campus include:[1]

University offers courses at least undergraduate and postgraduate levels and are actively involved in their specific research areas and fields.

Admissions

The university admits students either based on marks of the last qualifying examination or it may conduct own entrance (DAVUET, DAVUMET and PhD entance) tests for admission in various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs.
