Dave's True Story was an American jazz trio,[4] and occasionally quartet,[5] formed in New York City.[6]

Their songs "Sequined Mermaid Dress" and "Crazy Eyes" were both featured in the 2001 romantic comedy film, Kissing Jessica Stein.[4] Another Dave's True Story song, 'Dog's Life', was featured in a documentary on HBO/Cinemax: Dog's Life: a Dogamentary.[7]

Dave's True Story briefly reunited for one night in June 2013.[3] Since the group disbanded, singer Kelly Flint has embarked on a solo career.[8]
