Dave Dennis is an American businessman and was a candidate in the Republican primary election for the Mississippi Governor's Race.

Business career

Dave Dennis is President of Specialty Contractors & Associates, Inc. of Gulfport, Mississippi, a commercial and industrial subcontractor. He has thrice served as chairman of the Federal Reserve Board in New Orleans. He has also chaired several state organizations, including Leadership Mississippi and the Business and Industry Political Education Committee.[1]

Campaign for Mississippi Governor

On February 14, 2011, Dennis launched statewide kick-off tour for his campaign to be Mississippi's next governor. The tour started in Dennis's hometown of Pass Christian, Mississippi, and included 20 other cities. Dennis focused his message on job creation based on his own private-sector experience.[2]

Personal life

Dave and his wife, Jane, have two children, Kate and Padrick. They are members of the Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church.[3]
