Dave Samuels (born October 9, 1948)[1] is an American vibraphone player, who has worked with various jazz and fusion artists, such as Spyro Gyra. He played with Oscar Peterson on An Oscar Peterson Christmas in 1995.[2] Currently, he plays in an ensemble called The Caribbean Jazz Project, a Grammy-winning jazz-Latin music group. He played with Eddie Palmieri in a tribute to Cal Tjader with the album Tjaderized.
Samuels is an alumnus of New Trier High School. He received a psychology degree from Boston University and has taught at Berklee College of Music.[3]
