David John "Dave" Shipperley (born Uxbridge, 12 April 1952)[1] is an English former professional football (soccer) player. His clubs included Charlton Athletic,[2] Plymouth Argyle,[3] and Gillingham, where he made over 140 Football League appearances.[4]
After his professional career he joined the Metropolitan Police and later worked as a postman in Hayes, West London, where he also managed non-league team Brook House. His son Neil also became a professional footballer.[5]
