David Naugle
David Naugle is an author and professor. He is considered an expert on the Christian Worldview.
Naugle is the head of the philosophy department at Dallas Baptist University. He is an ardent supporter of Neo-Calvinism, although he is not a 5-point Calvinist but rather a proponent of Amyraldism.[1]
Naugle started and currently directs a weekly lecture series at the university called the “Friday Symposium”. It features presentations by DBU's faculty, talented undergraduate and graduate students, and off-campus lecturers on a broad range of topics.
Naugle also started and teaches in the annual “Summer Institute for Christian Scholarship”. This is a ten week faculty enrichment program for Dallas Baptist University's professors.
In the Spring of 2016 he took a temporary medical leave of absence from his current position at Dallas Baptist University.
Works
Naugle is the author of Worldview: The History of a Concept.[2] Christianity Today Magazine selected Worldview as the 2003 "Book of the Year" in the theology and ethics category.[3] The Peking University Press is translating "Worldview" into Chinese and has published it in 2006 His most recent work is Reordered Loves, Reordered Lives: Learning the Deep Meaning of Happiness Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Company, 2008
