David "Dave" Rainford (born 1968 in Withington, Manchester), is an English quiz contestant, nicknamed "Tremendous Knowledge Dave".
On 9 April 2005, Rainford won £250,000 on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?.[1] He was also a contestant on Are You an Egghead?, upon appearing on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?.
Replacing CJ de Mooi, since 27 September 2012, he competes alongside other quiz champions on the UK quiz show Eggheads, in which members of the public pit their wits against them in order to win a cash prize.[2]
Rainford was educated at Manchester Grammar School and Parrs Wood High School.[3] He has a daughter, Ella, via his then partner Tina.[1] Rainford is of Jamaican heritage.
