David Rollandini

David Rollandini (born 6 February 1979) is an American born baseball player. He was born in Springfield, VA into a military family and moved several times before returning to Springfield, VA and graduating from Robert E Lee high school. He attended college at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK and was a 3-year letterman under head coach Tom Holiday where he also attained his degree in Business Administration. After his junior year, he was signed to a minor league contract with the Philadelphia Phillies where he played in the minor leagues until 2003. He was released from his contract in April 2003 and signed with the independent Nashua Pride of the Atlantic League in Nashua, NH. In 2004 he signed a two-year contract with Grosseto of the Italian Baseball league. In 2004 he led Grosseto to the Italian Championship and participated in the Olympic Games in Athens Greece. He returned to Grosseto in 2005 and won the European Cup in Rotterdam, Netherlands. In 2006 he signed a one-year contract with the Houston Astros and was assigned to class AA Corpus Christi for most of the season where he won the Texas League championship. He retired from baseball in 2007 and became a firefighter in Oklahoma.
