Davidson Ngibuini Gikandi (born 17 May 1986),[1][2] professionally known as DNG, is a Kenyan radio presenter, actor, hype man and entrepreneur. He is also a former Kiss 100 radio presenter and currently on One FM. He is also the CEO and founder of 254 Digital Entertainment.[3]
Career
DNG made his debut in the entertainment industry in January 2003 after releasing his first single. Initially starting off as a secular artist, he joined gospel industry in 2004 where he won in several awards especially the Kora Awards. He again shifted back to secular years later.[4] In 2008, Ngibuini founded his entertainment company 254 Entertainment Ltd. In the television industry he is known to be hosting in musical television network Kiss TV and presenting the dancing competition Sakata Mashariki. In radio, has also worked for Kiss 100 and 1 FM. In 2013, he was cast as one of the supporting characters in Swahili drama Sumu la Penzi, where he played Tash.[5] He is also the presenter of East Africa dancing competion Sakata Mashariki.[6]
Personal life
In March 2015, married his fiancé Yvette Nungari, four months after he supposedly proposed to her.[7]
