Tatsuo Fujioka (藤岡 竜雄 Fujioka Tatsuo, born August 19, 1980), better known as Dean Fujioka (ディーン・フジオカ Dīn Fujioka, stylized as DEAN FUJIOKA), is a Japanese actor and artist.

Biography

Dean Fujioka was born in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, and finished study at a community college in Seattle, Washington. He plays the drums, guitar and piano.[1]

Career

Fujioka started his career as a model in Hong Kong's fashion scene in 2004 for both local and international designer brands. He continues to appear in Hong Kong's leading fashion and lifestyle magazines. Simultaneous with his career in fashion, Fujioka also embarked on various advertising campaigns, appearing in TV and print commercials for both local and multinational clients in the Asia pacific region.

In 2005, he decided to pursue a career in acting. He got a role in the movie The August Story. In 2006, he moved his base from Hong Kong to Taipei, and appeared in the Taiwanese TV drama Goku Dou High School with Bao Wei Min, Baoxiao Bo, and Kingone Wang, followed by an appearance in the drama Corner with Love, with Barbie Hsu, and Show Luo. Dean played the role of a talented pianist. This drama made him well known in Taiwan.

In early 2008, Fujioka appeared in the TV drama Miss No Good with Rainie Yang and Wilber Pan, produced by Chai Zhi Ping.

In 2010, he appeared in the feature film Seediq Bale, about the history of Taiwan under Japanese rule.

In 2012, he appeared in the movie The Black and White: The Movie, directed by Tsai Yueh Hsum, based on the popular Taiwanese TV drama series. He played the role of Lee Chi Yon, an information investigator.

In 2013, he directed and starred in the Japanese movie I am Ichihashi, released in November 2013.[2]
