Deanna Marie Loveland (born April 5, 1989) is an American recording artist,[1] harpist, pianist and fashion designer. She began her career performing the harp at private functions, weddings and celebrity events for Jerry Bruckheimer and his wife, Linda. Consequently, she began songwriting and in 2005 her original song, "Shine" was 1st Runner-Up out of 12,000 entries in USA Weekend Magazine's national songwriting competition judged by Simon Cowell and Fantasia Barrino. In March 2007 Loveland released her solo harp album, "Moments". A month later she signed with a talent agency,[2] appearing in music videos and commercials for companies including Toyota and Target and films including "A Pure Country Gift II" and "Country Strong[3]".

In 2011 Loveland began developing her signature fashion line, "The Loveland Collection" to help girls who struggle with anorexia, self-harm and other debilitating conditions. Her collection was designed to feature women's jewelry,[4] clothing, handbags[5] and a percentage of sales go directly to women and girls in recovery.[6] Loveland's Christmas single, "If I Could Make it Snow[7][8][9]" hit the airwaves November 2011, followed by her debut album "Inner Perfection[10][11]" released under the label, Gianna Records on January 24, 2012.

Early life

Loveland celebrates Christmas with family

Loveland was born April 5, 1989 in Bethesda, Maryland. She grew up in the small town of Sudlersville, Maryland. Her father was a worship leader and computer specialist while also serving in the National Guard. Her mom (former military) was a beautician/salon owner and homemaker.[12] Loveland was home-schooled[13] and is second born in a family of six children.[14]

With a natural ear for music, Deanna studied classical piano when she was 5 years old. Subsequently she began studying the violin and harp, performing in local churches and nursing homes. Loveland’s growing up years consisted of racing the clock to finish her studies early so she could practice music for hours on end. Her hobbies included writing, sewing and embroidery.

With her mother’s experience in self-promotion and booking, Loveland’s performance resume grew from local churches and weddings to performances at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, TN Butler University in Indianapolis, IN and mission trips and music ministry at the Premier Iglesia Bautista in Mexico.[15] Her first solo harp CDs were released during this time, which helped gain momentum with 130 performances each year and 4,000+ album sales by the time she was 17 years old.
