Deb Rey (born July 15, 1967) is an American politician, currently representing District 29B in the Maryland House of Delegates.

Early life, education, and early career

Rey attended Affton High School in Affton, Missouri.[1] She graduated from University of Missouri with a B.S. in Political Science in 1989. She earned a M.S. in Management from Webster University in 2004.[2]

Rey served in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of major (O-4), from 1989 - 2009. After retiring from the Air Force, she moved to St. Mary's County, Maryland. She was elected president of the Republican Women of St. Mary's County in 2010, and president of the Republican Club of St Mary's County in 2012. She was selected as the St Mary's County Republican Woman of the Year for 2013.[2]

Elections

Rey was first elected in 2014 into the Maryland House of Delegates for District 29B, which covers the southern part of St. Mary's County. She defeated John Bohanon by 76 votes.[3]
