Decani
This article is about church interior. For the city in Kosovo, see Deçan. For the monastery, see Visoki Dečani.

Evensong in York Minster; notice the choir arrangement into decani (left side) and cantoris (right side).
Decani (Latin: "of the dean") is the side of a church choir occupied by the Dean.[1] In English churches this is typically the choir stalls on the south side of the chancel, although there are some notable exceptions, such as Durham Cathedral, St Davids Cathedral, Carlisle Cathedral and Southwell Minster. The opposite side is known as Cantoris.[2]
