Decomposing Normality is the second EP by the American deathcore band King Conquer. Decomposing Normality is the first release by the band - in contrast to their previous EP Welcome to Hell - to feature their current sound, focusing on the typical deathcore element that fuses death metal and metalcore but with deep guttural lead vocals, heavier breakdowns and technical sweeps. It was produced by Charles J and Phil Pluskota.

The EP was tracked and mixed at Sonic Assault Studios in Cape Coral, FL. It is the last King Conquer recording with third guitarist Brodie Wheeler and first with vocalist James Mislow.

Reissue

In 2015, a fan held a crowdfunding campaign in order to have the EP reissued.[1] The crowdfund raised over $4200 USD.[2] Following this, the EP was re-issued later that same year with new artwork and re-arranged track listing with two of the songs renamed ("Interlude" had its title changed to "Cataclysm" and "The Beginning" had its title changed to "The Immersive Design of Suffering").
