Dedication Stone
The Dedication Stone is a carved Aztec artifact of polished greenstone. It is believed to commemorate the completion of the Templo Mayor of Tenochtitlan in 1487, and may have been set into one of the Templo Mayor's walls. It bears depictions of the rulers Tizoc and Ahuitzotl performing autosacrifice, as well the date 8 Reed (1487) twice.
It is currently located in the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City.
