History

Mixtape Radio

Ducktez' original idea behind the development of Def Pen Radio sprang from the concept of creating mixtapes and creating an avenue for these underground/indie artists to be discovered in a more viral, word-of-mouth setting. The concept quickly gained popularity throughout the internet, cultivating a momentous demand from listeners, existing and prospecting, to want to see and hear more. It was then decided that it was time to move the brand to a broader audience, allowing the initial developments of today's Def Pen Radio to be born.

Meaning Of 71.8

71.8 represents where Ducketz is from: born and raised in Brooklyn Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Exclusive Def Pen Radio Interviews

Def Pen Radio has had the privilege of conducting one-on-one interview sessions with some of hip hop and R&B's most prominent and upcoming artists. Aside from the traditional written Q&A's and mic-to-face interviews, Def Pen Radio has also coined the unique interview style, title Ten W/ Def Pen. This unparalleled interview sessions allows artists to settle in a laid back setting while answering random questions picked from a deck of Def Pen Radio's custom-made Ten W/ Def Pen interview cards. Def Pen's interview archive is immersed with artists such as Kendrick Lamar, French Montana, Slaughterhouse, Diggy, Estelle, YG and Problem.

Others Shows In Development

Ducketz has made numerous references on Def Pen Radio that there are in fact other shows currently being developed. He specifically mentioned an all female-hosted version of Def Pen Radio in the form of an online TV show. The show will feature artists and cover the latest trending topics in entertainment culture.
