DefenderMX
DefenderMX is a commercial Linux based Email security solution. The company was founded in 2002, and has its company headquarters located in Washington DC USA. The company develops gateway and hosted solutions built for Linux.
History
DefenderMX was originally developed in 2001 by Bains Digital Technologies. When FSL and Bains Digital merged, the DefenderMX product was merged into the BarricadeMX PLUS line of products. FSL has revived the DefenderMX name for its next generation of products based on the Open Source Haraka project to which FSL is a major contributor.
- April 2000 - DefenderMX V1.0 released for sale
- May 2004 - FSL and Bains Digital Tech merge and formed a new FSL
- November 2005 - DefenderMX is retired and replaced by SM-Gateway
- March 2010 - FSL released BarricadeMX and BarricadeMX PLUS
- February 2016 - DefenderMX Lite is released
