Defense Innovation Advisory Board
The Defense Innovation Advisory Board is an organisation set up in 2016 to bring the technologucal innovation and best practice of Silicon Valley to the U.S. Military.[1] The board will have up to a dozen members drawn from who Eric Schmidt, the chair, will select in consultation with the US Secretary of Defense.[2]
Ash Carter, US Secretary of Defense, announced that the board, modelled on the Defense Business Board would facilitate the Pentagon becoming more innovative and adaptive.[1]
