All students are encouraged to challenge themselves in college prep classes, which may include honors classes in English, Science, and Social Studies, as well as Advanced Placement classes in Biology, Calculus AB & BC, Chemistry, Microeconomics, English Language, English Literature, French, Spanish, Statistics, U.S. Government, and U.S. History. Tutoring is a component of the AVID program and after school tutoring is available for all students.
Del Campo has a number of exemplary co-curricular and extra curriculum programs that foster the positive learning environment. Del Campo’s athletic program is one of the finest in the Sac Joaquin section. An extended Fine and Performing Arts program affords students opportunities in music, art and theater. Del Campo also has an excellent Academic Decathlon program, the school has performed well in the Sacramento County competition since the 1980s under the leadership of coach John Davis. The school finished 3rd behind Folsom High School(2nd) and Bella Vista High School(1st) in the 2008-2009 competition year.
