Delayed hemolytic transfusion reaction

A Delayed hemolytic transfusion reaction is a type of transfusion reaction.[1][2][3]

This can occur one to four weeks after the transfusion.[4] One way this can occur is if a person without a Kidd blood antigen receives a Kidd antigen in a transfusion . A hemolytic reaction can occur between 3 to 14 days as a result of a secondary immune response, with a drop in hemoglobin level, fever, jaundice, or hemoglobinuria.[5]
