Global Operations

In 2006, delfortgroup AG was established as an independent company in Traun, Austria.

delfortgroup owns six subsidiaries across Europe and Asia (as of December 2015) which manufacture specialty papers for a number of applications demanding high performance, thinner and lighter, and more sustainable paper alternatives. With a legacy dating back to 1559, delfortgroup’s paper mills include:

· Dr. Franz Feurstein (Austria; est. 1867),

· Wattenspapier (Austria; 1559),

· OP Papírna (Czech Republic; 1861),

· Tervakoski Oy (Finland; 1818),

· Dunafin Kft. (Hungary; 1962),

· and Wattens Vietnam (Vietnam; 2009).[2]

In 2015, the company employed around 2,000 people and sold over 9,476 km² of paper. The group's CEO is Martin Zahlbruckner and the CFO and COO is Roland Faihs.

Specialty Paper Solutions

delfortgroup offers optimized paper solutions for demanding applications which require innovative, customized and highly technical specialty papers, including but not limited to: baking and packaging papers for the food and packaging industry, plugwrap, cigarette and tipping base papers for the tobacco industry, base paper for industrial labels, leaflets for the pharmaceutical industry and thin papers for religious literature, catalog and scientific printing as well as electrical insulation papers for sea cables.

delfortgroup sources only wood pulp from sustainably managed forests and certified suppliers. In order to reduce and improve energy consumption, all mills have established energy management systems in line with ISO50001, leading to significant reductions in GHG emissions across the group.
