Dennis Faulkner
Colonel Sir James Dennis Compton Faulkner was born on 22 October 1926. Invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1980. He held the office of Deputy Lord Lieutenant of County Down in 1988.
Brother of the former Northern Ireland Prime Minister Brian Faulkner he held the rank of Lieutenant commander in the Royal Naval Reserve and was subsequently commissioned into the Ulster Defence Regiment where he commanded the Boat Section of the 3rd (Co Down) Battalion[1] before eventually being installed as Regimental Colonel in 1982[2]
He was invested a CBE in 1980. He held the office of Deputy Lord Lieutenant of County Down in 1988.
