Dennis Arthur Murphy (born about 1927) is a sports entrepreneur.
Murphy co-founded (with Gary Davidson) the World Hockey Association and the American Basketball Association. He also founded Roller Hockey International and World Team Tennis. [1]
Honours
From 1973 and 1979, the Dennis A. Murphy Trophy was presented to the best defenceman of the World Hockey Association.[2]
In 2010, Murphy was part of the initial group of individuals elected to the World Hockey Association Hall of Fame.[3]
