Deokota Memorial School is a school located in Biratnagar, Nepal. It is situated in Teenpaini, Biratnagar-2 and is one of the oldest schools of Biratnagar.
Staffs
Mr.Dilip Kumar Banerjee, Mr. Laxmikanth Nandhi, Mrs. Saraswoti Karki, Mrs. Sarita & Mrs. Sofia are the oldest teachers of the school. The former headmaster of the school was Mr.Kay Kay Pradhan. Now the present headmaster is Mr. Deepak Shrestha.

About the school
Tika Prasad Uprety is the founder of the school. He established the school with the catchword "Tamaso Ma Jyotirgamaya" which means illuminating the darkness or ignorance with the aroma of knowledge. Biratnagarians as well as the students from the adjoining districts are privileged since the establishment of the school. The school not only imparts quality education to the students but also teaches them the right way of living emphasizing on ethics, moral principles and discipline. A hundred marks subject called "Discipline" is used to assess the tidiness, regularity, study habits and the behaviour of the students on the everyday basis. Music lesson is compulsory which includes violin, drum, guitar, harmonium and vocal practices. The school also focuses on extra curricular activities with debate, painting, spelling and quiz contest, singing and dancing, football, cricket and volleyball tournaments being held on regular basis. The school established with the slogan of " A school with a difference" thus works accordingly.
Achievements
The school has produced many doctors, nurses,engineers, pilots, nurses, musicians from the time of its establishment and is renowned for its quality education and discipline since then. Every year hundreds of students pass the S.L.C examination securing good marks with many distinctions. The school has won numerous prizes including SQC(Student Quality Circle) award which was an international event organized in Lucknow.
