Department of the Premier and Cabinet (South Australia)

The Department of the Premier and Cabinet is a department of the Government of South Australia. It provides central agency leadership on matters affecting South Australia’s prosperity. The department provides economic and policy advice to support the government’s strategic priorities, to maximise the value of its international relationships and to manage its ICT Strategy, innovation and investment.

The vision outlined in South Australia’s Strategic Plan is advanced by the department which has expressed its committed to community engagement, excellence in service delivery and good business practice.[1] Kym Winter-Dewhirst was employed as the department's Chief Executive in January 2015.

Publications

The department's activities are summarised in its Annual Reports. Other publications include a Ministerial Code of Conduct, National Competition Policy, Premier and Cabinet Circulars, South Australia's Strategic Plan and many stand-alone documents.[2]

Lobbyist Register

The Department maintains a register of all third-party political lobbyists who are currently lobbying in South Australia. The register includes the trading names of lobbying entities, names of persons engaged in lobbying and current lists of the clients they commercially represent.[3]
