Derek Jory

Derek Jory is a Canadian professional sports journalist with the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (NHL) at www.Canucks.com based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. In his writing, Jory covers home and away games, player news, and community events. He helps run @VanCanucks on Twitter, and was the voice of @CanucksGame on Twitter before it retired; he also helps run the official Vancouver Canucks page on Facebook, as well as the team’s Instagram account @Canucks Instagram and VanCanucks on Snapchat. He is known for his antics within creative writing and what is known as the 'Joryjinx', referring to his complimenting an opposing team's goal-tender in an attempt to bring bad luck.[1]

Education

Jory completed his Bachelor of Arts degree with an English major at Brandon University, then did a major in journalism and has a Creative Communications degree from Red River College.[1]
