Derek Klena (born October 3, 1991) is an American actor and singer. He has appeared on Broadway in Wicked as Fiyero and in The Bridges of Madison County as Michael.[1] For his role as Eddie Birdlace in Off-Broadway's Dogfight, where he starred alongside Lindsay Mendez, he was nominated for the 2012 Clive Barnes Award.[2] He also appeared in the 2012 Off-Broadway revival of the musical version of Stephen King's Carrie, playing Tommy Ross.[3] He will next be starring as Dimitri (co-starring opposite his former Carrie co-star Christy Altomare) in the World Premiere of the stage musical adaptation of the movie Anastasia which will run from May 12th - June 12th, 2016 at Hartford Stage in Connecticut.

Klena frequently collaborates with fellow Broadway actor Lindsay Mendez, with whom he shares a strong friendship. The pair, popularly known as "Klendez", have appeared alongside each other in Dogfight as Eddie Birdlace and Rose Fenny, Wicked as Elphaba and Fiyero, and frequently perform together at the Broadway supper club 54 Below.[4]
