Derren Brown's Ghost Train is an upcoming attraction at the Thorpe Park theme park in between the towns of Chertsey and Staines, Surrey, England, UK. Its scheduled opening is May 2016 and features heavy design input by British mentalist Derren Brown. The ride is themed in a Victorian train depot and has been in planning and construction for 3 years. The ride was first teased on 8 July 2015. around March 2016 Thorpe Park opened the Ghost Train Store which features Derren Brown merchandise and ride merchandise. As well inside there is a Photo booth to collect your OnRide photos, a fortune teller where you can get your fortune read and possibly get 20% off, there is also a screen showing the ride teaser as well as a rotating wall. [1][2] The ride will include atmospheric effects combined with the use of virtual reality headsets as part of grander scale illusion designed to scare riders.[3]
Shortly before its scheduled opening on 6 May 2016, Thorpe Park announced that the ride would not be completed in time to open as scheduled; no revised opening date has yet been announced.[4]
