Background and release

The song was released a few months after the release of "Si Alguna Vez", a song recorded by Thalia as the main theme of the Mexican telenovela Antes muerta que Lichita. The previous week of the release, Thalia had announced through her social media that she would release new music. The song was received positively by both critics and fans.

The website FMBox commented that «Creative and bold, Thalia surprises us with an unexpected jewel that will function as an introduction to her upcoming album that is guaranteed to make everyone dance".[3] David Lopez from Myusic wrote that «Thalía wagers creativity and risk. It's a milestone for an artist who has nothing left to prove to make this option",[4] while the song received a very positive review by Cosmopolitan magazine.[5]
