Deserticossus volgensis is a species of moth of the Cossidae family. It is found in Russia[1] (southern Volga region), the northern Caucasus (Stavropol, Dagestan), north-western Kazakhstan and Turkey. The habitat consists of dry steppes.
The wingspan is about 21 mm.[2] The forewings are light-brown, suffused with dark scales. The hindwings are dark-brown. Adults are on wing in July.[3]
