Desmos (graphing)

Desmos is an advanced graphing calculator implemented as a browser application and a mobile application. As of September 2012, it had received around 1,000,000 US dollars of funding from Kapor Capital, Learn Capital, Kindler Capital, Elm Street Ventures and Google Ventures.[1] In addition to live graphing, it features lists, plots, regressions, interactive variables, piecewise function graphing, polar function graphing, and two types of graph paper. It also has several different languages that can be used.[2]

Users can create accounts and by doing so can save the graphs and plots that they have created. The tool comes pre-programmed with 35 different graphs for the purpose of teaching new users more about using the tool, or even about the mathematics involved.

A modified version of the calculator has been used in standardized tests, such as the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness test.[3]
