Daniel Baker (born 18 May 1983), known professionally as Desus Nice or simply Desus, is a comedian, TV personality, YouTube personality and Twitter personality.[1] He rose to prominence with Complex TV Desus vs. Mero, which was a 46-episode podcast that was first released on 18 December 2013. As of season 5, he is a cast member of MTV2's Guy Code with The Kid Mero.[2][3][4]

Career

While working as a small business columnist for a financial magazine, in April 2008 he opened a Twitter account under the handle @desusnice and soon gained a considerable follower count because of his jokes. He debuted the podcast Desus vs. Mero via iTunes on 18 December 2013 titled 'The World Premiere'.

In December 2014, MTV announced that Desus and The Kid Mero would be joining the cast of Guy Code for season 5, along with 11 other new cast members.[5][6] They appeared on the first episode of season 5 which was originally aired on 14 January 2015. After building a relationship with MTV and MTV2, Desus and Mero appeared on other shows like Uncommon Sense and Joking Off. [7]

The duo started a new podcast on September 11, 2015 titled Bodega Boys recorded live at Redbull Studios.
