The Detroit Titans men's basketall team is the college basketball team that represents the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, Michigan, and competes in NCAA Division I men's basketball as a member of the Horizon League. The Titans' head coaching position is currently held by Bacari Alexander, following the firing of Ray McCallum on April 1, 2016 following eight years at Detroit.[2] The Titans last appeared in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament in 2012.

22 Detroit alumni have gone on to play in the NBA. They include:

In the late seventies, Coach Dick Vitale led the Titans to two NCAA tournament appearances before heading the Detroit Pistons and later embarking on a broadcasting career that would put him in the Basketball Hall of Fame.
