Devilskin is a four-piece alternative metal band from Hamilton, New Zealand, formed in June 2010. The band consists of Jennie Skulander (lead vocals), Nail (lead guitar), Paul Martin (bass, backing vocals) and Nic Martin (drums). Devilskin's debut album, We Rise was released on 11 July 2014 and enjoyed a number one debut on the Official New Zealand Music Chart, remaining there for three weeks.[1] It was certified Platinum by Recorded Music NZ in March 2015.[2]

The band will be performing at the Download Festival 2016 on Sat 11th June on the Lemmy Stage.[3]

Band members

Lead vocalist Jennie Skulander was previously the lead vocalist for the band Slipping Tongue from Rotorua, New Zealand. Guitarist Nail previously played with the band Chuganaut, performing at Mount Smart Stadium in support of Iron Maiden in 2009. Bassist Paul Martin has also played in numerous New Zealand bands including Knightshade, Blackjack, and (still currently plays in) World War Four. Drummer Nic Martin is the son of Paul. He also currently plays drums for metalcore band Seas Of Conflict, and was half of the duo Let This Be None alongside Harrison Mordecai.

Devilskin's debut album We Rise was ranked at number 8 on Recorded Music NZ's year-end album chart for 2014,[4] and at number 40 for 2015.[5]
