Dhale, also spelled Dali[1] and Dhalea[2] and sometimes prefixed with Al[3] or Ad[4] (Arabic: الضالع Aḍ-Ḍāliʿ), is the capital town of Dhale Governorate in south-western Yemen. It is located at around 13°41′48″N 44°43′51″E / 13.69667°N 44.73083°E, in the elevation of around 1500 metres.
History
Formerly it was the capital of the Emirate of Dhala.
Economy
Historically, the Jewish community produced cotton thread.[5]
